Strong activity at Sandouville and Maubeuge

The Renault plant at Sandouville launched a night shift team of 476 employees, 100 of whom on fixed-term contracts, on Monday January 14, 2008. The team, planned to work until summer 2008, will increase production capacity from 625 to 749 Laguna sedans and estate per day, with the possibility of manufacturing 900 vehicles a day according to demand. Renault’s Maubeuge plant is also rolling out a night shift from mid-February. Some 1,000 people will be recruited to respond to strong demand for Kangoo and to ensure start-up of New Kangoo production.
