First stone of the DRAC plant in Wuhan, China

Last december 16, Carlos Ghosn , Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Renault, and Xu Ping , Chairman of Dongfeng Motor, signed a contract for the creation of a new joint venture company for localized production in China: Dongfeng Renault Automotive Company (DRAC).

Less than a month later, the ceremony to lay the plant’s foundation stone was held on 9 January. About 50 people attended, including DRAC President and CEO Jacques Daniel, Vice President Hu Xidong, representatives of the Wuhan Economic Development Zone Authority and senior executives from construction companies that have already started work on building the plant
