Paris, October 18, 2022 – Renault Group and The Adecco Group created the "AUTO ADE-RE" association, dedicated to accompanying employment evolutions in the fast-changing automotive sector. The creation of this structure reflects a shared commitment to work together on training, qualification and access to jobs that offer employment.

An association to support the HR transformation of the automotive sector

In response to the challenges of the ecological and energy transition, which in Europe will result in a ban on the sale of new combustion-powered vehicles from 2035, the automotive industry is accelerating its move towards electric vehicles. Renault Group and The Adecco Group, leaders in their sector, are joining forces to offer concrete solutions in anticipation of these sectoral transformations, which will have an impact on the needs and human skills required for production.

Renault Group and The Adecco Group will work with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve these objectives, supporting the development of new skills and the emergence of future automotive professions. The association's main objective will be to support employees in the sector in finding jobs for the future, by deploying all the expertise and know-how of human resources (recruitment, training, outplacement, etc.). Through this strengthened partnership, integrated and individualized solutions for skills development will be offered to companies in the automotive sector.

With the expertise of LHH, one of the three Global Business Units of The Adecco Group, an HR consulting and support company, the association will also act preventively in the territories and with some suppliers in order to mitigate the impact of future reorganizations and help them implement the retraining of their employees as closely as possible to their needs.

"We are making our social responsibility a central part of our transformation to meet the climate challenge and the rise of electric vehicles. After launching our corporate university - ReKnow University - to train our employees in the new mobility professions, we are now continuing our commitment alongside The Adecco Group to offer support to the employees of our suppliers in France and thus turn the entire ecosystem towards the automobile of the future and the jobs that will be created there."

Luca de Meo, CEO Renault Group

"I am very proud of the creation of this association, which is a first tangible step towards a more powerful synergy of our Groups in the service of a common objective: to succeed in the challenge of transformation. Sharing the expertise of our two companies, Adecco and LHH, is essential to enable us to be at the forefront of the professions of the future. As the largest private employer in France and a leader in human resources, our Group must play a leading role in accompanying the changes in major industrial sectors such as the automotive industry.”

Alexandre Viros, President France The Adecco Group
