One million TL4 gearboxes produced in Seville

Three years after obtaining a production agreement, the Seville plant in Spain produced its one-millionth TL4 gearbox at end-August. This six-speed manual gearbox ships with both Renault vehicles (Mégane and Laguna) and Nissan vehicles (Tida, Qashqai). To produce the gearbox, the Seville site has 25 machining lines, an assembly line and three test benches. Staff involvement has made it possible to cut assembly time from 0.65 minutes to 0.60 minute for each sub-system.
