One millionth K engine and 50 thousandth K9 engines produced at Oyak-Renault

The Oyak-Renault plant in Turkey produced its one millionth K engine on February 17, 2009. On the same day, the site manufactured its 50,000th K9 engine. A ceremony was organized for the occasion, with Tarik Tunalioglu, Managing Director of the site, and the Powertrain and Chassis Production department. The new-generation 8- and 16-valve engines have over the last ten years been fitted on vehicles built at Oyak-Renault and also at other international sites. Since 1973, Oyak-Renault has manufactured more than 2.5 million engines.
