Oyak Renault passes the three million vehicle mark

Oyak Renault, Turkish leader in passenger vehicle production and export, recently assembled its three millionth vehicle, a Mégane Sedan for export to China. In 1971, the plant had 368 employees and produced 1,514 vehicles exclusively for the Turkish market. Today, the plant employs 6,700 people, manufactures hundreds of thousands of passenger cars a year and exports them all over the world. Since 1971, the plant has produced the Renault 12, Renault 9, Renault 11, Renault 21, Renault 19, Mégane Sedan, Mégane Wagon, Symbol and Clio.
