Renault has reopened its plant in Curitiba

29 March 2013  03:00

After two months of renovation, Renault has reopened its plant in Curitiba. The extension of the plant is a major event in the development of the brand in the local market and reaffirms its commitment to the State of Paraná and to Brazil.

The private car plant, which makes Renault Duster, Sandero and Logan in the Ayrton Senna Complexe (CAS), now benefits from an increased annual production capacity of 380,000 units up from 280,000 previously.

The investment of R$ 500 million (approximately 193 million euros) in the extension of the plant is part of the R$ 1.5 billion (approximately 583 million euros) planned for the period of 2010-2015.
