Renault Motores produces 18 millionth H4JT engine

The Renault Motores Valladolid plant (Spain) produced its 18 millionth H4JT engine (TCe 130) on January 28, to be fitted on a Mégane III model at Renault’s Palencia plant in Spain. The Motores powertrain site was founded in 1964 as FAMESA (Fabrication Mécanique S.A.) and since then has produced 4.3 million C engines, 3 million E engines, 1.1 million K7 units, 3.4 million K4s, 6.1 million K9s and, recently, 26,049 units of the all new H4J engine. With 1,451 Renault employees, the Motores Valladolid plant built 822,913 engines in 2009 (figures at end-December 2009).
