Sales results France, January
The results of the Renault group were in line with our projections and the forecast that we made at the start of the year. The Group reported a 24.7% share of the market, down 2.7 points on January 2011.

Renault consolidated its leadership in LCVs. One LCV in three registered in France in January was a Renault and four out of the five top-selling LCVs were Renaults. In an LCV market that contracted 2.5%, Renault group sales volumes grew year on year and the Group increased its market share by 1.7 points.

Renault brand PC sales decreased in January, ahead of the full effect of the range renewal in the coming months (New Twingo, New Scénic and New Mégane 2012 Collection followed by ZOE and Clio IV in the fall). Initial customer feedback is highly positive and enables us to confirm that we are on line to meet our objectives, namely market share at the end of the year close to that in 2011 (26.1%).

The Dacia brand took a 4.7% share of the PC market, up 0.5 points on 2011 thanks to Sandero and Duster, which confirmed their sales success. This percentage considerably exceeded our forecasts and confirms the appeal of the brand, even ahead of the extension of the Dacia range set to begin in April when the Lodgy minivan arrives in the showrooms. Dacia consolidated its ranking as number six in PCs and number five in sales to consumers.
Bernard Cambier, Senior Vice President, said : “The market contracted sharply in January, in line with our projections. The decrease is expected to continue throughout the first quarter. Against this backdrop, Renault group sales fell more than the market, but the trend should reverse in the second quarter with the arrival of new products in our showrooms. I am confident about the Group’s results for the year as a whole, with a market share at the end of 2012 at least equal to that in 2011.”
