Sandouville offers 32 schoolgirls an insight into careers in the automotive industry

11 May 2012  11:30

Renault has been a partner of the association “Elles bougent” since 2010 as part of the Women@Renault plan.  On May 11, 2012, Renault is inviting 32 schoolgirls from the Lycée Albert-Sorel in Honfleur to spend a day visiting at the Sandouville plant.

Female engineers and technicians will be on hand to present the activities of the site and the vehicle production process with a tour of the various workshops. They will talk to them about the diversity of their jobs, their educational backgrounds and their passion for the automotive industry.

This initiative is part of the Group’s efforts to achieve a better male/female balance in an industrial sector that is still primarily male by aiming for a recruitment target of 30% of women in engineering and technical functions.
