Stop of production in Cacia - Portugal

CACIA, March 17, 2020 - Due to the current situation related to the spread of the coronavirus and always putting the health of employees as a top priority, Groupe Renault has decided to halt the production of its factory in Cacia – Portugal - on Wednesday March 18 at 6:00. This decision has been communicated today to the unions.

The health of its workers has been the priority of the Renault Group since the Covid-19 pandemic began in our country. The prevention measures ordered by the health authorities have been applied since the beginning.

Given the advancement of the pandemic in Portugal, Groupe Renault has decided to stop its industrial activities.

The company anticipates that commercial activity will be reactivated quickly after the crisis. Once the crisis is over, appropriate measures will be implemented, in agreement with the social representation, enabling us to do what is necessary to meet the significant commercial demand that we foresee.

The management of the company appreciates the sense of responsibility shared by the staff during this complicated situation.
