The Minister of Industry of Venezuela and Renault Venezuela launch the study of an industrial project

26 November 2012  18:30

On November 24, 2012, the Ministry of the People’s Power for Industry of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Renault Venezuela signed a letter of intention for the installation of a vehicle assembly plant. This signature will enable a feasibility study for local production of vehicles.

On November 26, 2012, the first Training Center for Automotive Mechatronics (the systematic combination of mechanics, electronics and real time information technology) was inaugurated at the Dr. Federico Rivero Palacio University Technology Institute of the University of Caracas.  This center is the result of a joint project between the Venezuelan Ministry of the People’s Power for University Education, the French Ministry of National Education and Renault Venezuela. This new offering will enable 60 students each year to obtain an automotive technician diploma.

With this center, Renault affirms its desire to contribute to the development of the Venezuelan automobile industry and confirms its commitment to the customers who have placed their trust in Renault for more than 55 years.
