Renault Sandouville plant hosts 38 Le Havre students on may 22, 2012

22 May 2012  17:00

The Renault Sandouville plant, in partnership with the UIMM steelworkers union, is organizing an immersion day for 38 students from the Henri Wallon middle school in Le Havre as part of the “Classe en enterprise” program.

To work out their own vision of the industry, the students will be meeting with a range of Renault employees, visiting workshops and getting a feel for  the rhythm of the company. Accompanied by Renault experts (including an industrial programmer, a specialist in health and safety, and an ergonomist), the students will get to find out about advances in workstation ergonomics, how manufacturing is planned and sequenced, the diversity of customer orders, and the priority the plant places on safety...

With their feedback, they will act as Renault relays at their school and as ambassadors for the future of the industry.
